The nominees for this year’s Atlantic Book Awards were announced in Halifax yesterday. I’m very pleased to see a short-story collection I edited, Heidi Wicks’s Here, published by Breakwater Books, shortlisted for this year’s Alistair MacLeod Prize for Short Fiction, alongside Geoff Butler’s We, the Ancestors and Shelley Thompson’s Winter Sky. Congrats, Heidi! The winners will be named on June 4.
