In honour of Earth Day I decided to print the above, single-sided, as proof that I have been doing something since I last posted here. Above is a poetry manuscript I have been working on in a rough, sporadic fashion for the last decade and in a more concerted fashion for the last three years. About a month ago I cut myself off from adding anything new to it and began the chiselling. It feels close. It also feels small, but I’m okay with that.

And on the paying front, I have acquired an editing project I am very excited about, a geological history of Canada. As an added bonus, thinking in geologic time has had the effect of making my progress with my own writing seem quite speedy, if not downright cataclysmic. However, it has also put me at risk of translating everything I do into geological terms thereby annoying everyone in my path.
